Valerie Schoonover
I am a current senior at DePaul University concentrating in English Literature Studies and with a certificate in Spanish language.
I am seeking to obtain a position in an organization with a socially minded mission to effect great change in my community. I am passionate about equality, education, and teamwork. I am happiest engaging with people of all different backgrounds and collaborating to reach a goal.
I have gained experiences in development, program implementation, recruitment, and liaison work in my professional roles as a DePaul student worker and in my internships with Chicago non-profits. I enjoy volunteer work, participating in think tanks, and a varied, dynamic schedule. Not one to shy away from leadership, my skills in problem solving, communication, and creativity will assist me to see projects through from start to finish. I possess myriad skills that make me a valuable asset to teams and a singular candidate for employment.
It is my goal to further my experience in a the nonprofit or higher education sectors.
